Not as flashy than an Escalade but more upscale than a Tahoe, the Yukon XL is a three-row SUV for those seeking an elevated sense of luxury without the flamboyance. A refresh for 2025 provides the Yukon with revised exterior styling, updated tech and new trim levels, along with the availability of a more powerful diesel engine. Much like the relationship between the Chevrolet Yukon and Suburban, the difference between a standard Wagoneer or Grand Wagoneer and their L counterparts largely comes down to the L models’ extended wheelbases. Although the L models have to lug around additional mass due to their extended proportions, we still managed to hit 60 mph in five seconds flat with Grand Wagoneer L during testing back in 2023. Wagoneer L models score 20-inch wheels, adaptive cruise control and lane keeping assistance as-standard for 2025, while Grand Wagoneer L models see engine output increased to 540 hp and 521 lb-ft of torque and score 22-inch wheels, a front passenger screen and additional safety features become standard equipment this year.
