GEO-82 Spaceship Earth Lounge
We now have a first look at the completed interior of GEO-82, the newest lounge in EPCOT located just behind Spaceship Earth.
GEO-82 Spaceship Earth Lounge Interior First Look

GEO-82 is a new lounge located in the former Siemens corporate lounge area behind Spaceship Earth. As seen in the first official concept art of the lounge, GEO-82 is inspired by the geometric shapes of the EPCOT icon in warm metallic tones. The entrance is not near the Spaceship Earth attraction queue, but near the back of the building by the Project Tomorrow space.
The complete menu at GEO-82 includes some light snacks as well as some alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverage options. The new GEO-82 Spaceship Earth Lounge also offers a “Luminous: The Symphony of Us” fireworks viewing experience, which is priced at $179 per person and includes some exclusive menu options.
The Spaceship Earth Lounge is not yet open to regular guests, but we were invited by Disney for a special media preview.

GEO-82 Spaceship Earth Lounge Waiting Area
When arriving in the Spaceship Earth Lounge waiting area, guests are greeted with a glowing blue wall that features the lounge’s geometric “G” logo made of triangles with white backlighting. The hallway leading to the interior is white with inbuilt lighting beside textured panels that run from the ceiling.

The mural in this room has now been painted a rusted orange color with gray pinstripe detailing in more geometric patterns. Another large “G” logo is added on this wall.

These is a smaller curved counter on this lower floor, though it did not appear to be in use when we visited. This desk is accented with a darker installation of a black panel that runs from the floor to the ceiling across the walkway. This installation has several white points of light that are meant to replicate the scene in Spaceship Earth where the ride vehicles turn backwards for their descent.

GEO-82 is actually located on the second floor of this space, so guests need to ride up in an elevator or take the nearby curved staircase to the upper level.

To the left of the elevator is a silver-toned plaque on the wall with a simplified icon of Spaceship Earth. The text on the plaque has one of the attraction’s famous quotes, “Like a grand and miraculous spaceship, our planet has sailed through the universe of time. And for a brief moment, we have been among its passengers.”

GEO-82 Spaceship Earth Lounge Second Floor
Once guests arrive at the second floor, there is a modern gray desk that is being used as a seating podium where Cast Members lead guests to their tables. The wall behind the desk is a lighter shade of bronze with tiny textured triangles. This space is also accented with the first of several hanging pendant lights, which we will see more of in the main room.

While the windows line the main room, there is also a more private seating area on a hallway off to the side of the entryway that acts almost like a waiting room. This space is a little dimmer, largely due to the lack of outdoor windows, and features a somewhat more muted color palette.

The main carpet in this room has more of the Spaceship Earth triangular pattern, but in darker colors like black and deep green.

There is less seating in this room, only a large cushioned couch in bronze fabric and a handful of matching padded chairs. Every piece of furniture has a modern, curved style with fewer hard edges. The room also has a unique ceiling design with a spiraled metal installation lit from the sides.

This smaller room is decorated with several pieces of art unique to GEO-82. This first piece shows Monorail Yellow zooming past Spaceship Earth, while a second shows Spaceship Earth again during the fireworks.

Similar to the downstairs hallway, several of the walls of this GEO-82 loung area are decorated with textured triangles that look like a tiny version of the Spaceship Earth exterior.

Finally, this room has a unique circular entrance that has white lighting stripes. It leads into a hallway connecting this waiting area to the main lounge room.

There is a slightly longer hallway leading to the main room. It is lined with real Alucobond panels, which is the same material used on the exterior of Spaceship Earth. The designers explained they wanted to ensure that guests finally get to touch Spaceship Earth with as close a replica as possible.

Across the hall on the opposite side is art depicting the triangular panels.

GEO-82 Spaceship Earth Lounge Main Space
Moving into the main space of the GEO-82 Spaceship Earth Lounge, there is a long bar counter on the left side of the room facing out towards the windows, which provide excellent views of World Showcase Lagoon. The wall behind the counter is covered in triangular mirrors installed in a 3D pattern to match the panels on Spaceship Earth.

The bar is wrapped in more bronze-colored metal with a rippled texture, while the counter itself is black stone. While seated at the bar, Disney provided us with several of the new food and beverage options for an early review.

The chairs seated around the bar are individual gray padded seats with gold legs. The floor, meanwhile, is made of tiles in more of the classic Spaceship Earth triangular pattern. However, the color of the floor transitions across the space, with sections in more gray and white tones moving to darker shades of black.

The lip underneath the bar comes equipped with several black charging outlets. These are more modern with two standard ports, a regular USB, and a USB-C.

To the left of the bar is a glass case displaying several rare and unique liquors, which we have broken down in a separate article.

This main room has a mixture of different seating arrangements from wider booths to individual padded chairs. While a few are stationary, most of the chairs swivel so guests can face both the table and the windows.

The light fixtures in GEO-82 are orb-shaped pendants loosely reminiscent of Spaceship Earth. We first saw the lights turned on through the lounge windows facing the park earlier this week. They cast the room in a more yellow, warm-toned light than standard LED white bulbs.

As described by Disney, GEO-82 is colored in mostly metallic tones of silver, bronze, and gold.

The main seating area beside the bar has tables in matching shades of black with curved silver seats.

However, not all of the seating is the same. Some of the swiveling chairs are also white with gray stripes and a gold, velvet-textured interior.

The gray and white tile flooring is broken up with gold and tan rugs that are used to help break apart the seating areas.

The rugs break up the somewhat monotone aesthetic of the space with a velvet texture and diagonal lines in tan.

The ceiling closest to the windows has an indented section with more dim gold lighting and the same geometric orb lights. These are interspersed between gray hexagonal panels attached to the ceiling as well.

Larger, four-person tables are situated close to the windows. These have the same gold and gray chairs beside black tables, but they are grouped together as one.

The middle of the room has a triangular booth structure with curved seats facing three different sides. The middle of the triangle has more yellow-tinted inbuilt lights.

Looking through the windows in the middle of this room, guests get a perfect view of World Celebration. While some of World Showcase Lagoon is blocked by trees, the nightly fireworks will be visible about the plants in the distance.

On the walls away from the bar are more wall outlets. Like the bar outlets, these come equipped for chargers of most sizes, but are painted white and gray to blend in better.
