Gatorade has been awarding Players of the Year to North Carolina high school athletes since the 1985-86 season, when it was just baseball, track and field, basketball, and boys soccer. It now also awards them in cross country, softball, volleyball, and girls soccer.

Below is a list of every Gatorade Player of the Year award winner.
