During the EPCOT International Festival of the Arts, “chalk” images of classic Disney characters are hidden throughout World Showcase and sometimes even in other locations across the park. The character images that are a part of Chalk Full of Character serve as a kind of scavenger hunt activity. The artwork adds a touch of magic to the festival and it’s fun to look for them all as you go about your day at the park.
Chalk Full of Character
The description on the official Walt Disney World website for Chalk Full of Character can be found below:
Look for charming chalk drawings of Disney characters around World Showcase.
From Abu to Jiminy Cricket, an array of familiar faces wait to be discovered. How many can you find?
The locations of the characters are subject to change without notice. We’ve compiled the full list of characters and their locations below. If you want to do all the searching yourself we suggest not reading past the “List of Chalk Full of Character” mentioned below to avoid spoilers. All of the characters we found are returning in the same or similar locations as last year.

List of Chalk Full of Character Locations
Groot – World Discovery
One character that is not in World Showcase is young Groot from “Guardians of the Galaxy.” He’s located in World Discovery on the wall outside of Connections Eatery near Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind.
Groot can be seen standing on a vine that appears to be growing out of the hedge as he uses his arms to seemingly grasp the same hedge.
Dante (x2) – Mexico Pavilion
There are two art depictions of Dante from “Coco” on the façade of the Mexico Pavilion. Both of them can be found on either side of the main entrance doors.
On the left side of the main entrance is an image of Dante in his normal dog form.
On the right side of the entrance is Dante in his alebrije form. In Mexico, alebrijes are colorful sculptures of mythical creatures, however in the film “Coco,” the alebrijes are also real animals that guide people in the Land of the Dead.
Snowgies – Norway Pavilion
A group of Snowgies are playing on the Faux wooden planks of a roof located near the pavilion’s restrooms.
In “Frozen Fever,” Elsa creates these “Snowgies” when she sneezes. They are small, mischievous snowmen who end up living in Elsa’s ice palace with Marshmallow, the giant snow monster that Elsa created in the original “Frozen” film. Both creatures also appear in the end credits of “Frozen II” and on the Frozen Ever After ride also located in the Norway Pavilion.
Bruni – Norway Pavilion
Bruni, the fire spirit lizard from “Frozen II” can also be found in the Norway Pavilion near the outdoor seating area.
Bruni is a blue-purple lizard with a streak of pink-red flame running from his head to his tail. In this image, he looks to be sitting atop a pile of logs in the fireplace with a look of mischief on his face.
Little Brother – China Pavilion
Little Brother, Mulan’s dog, is located in this pavilion Standing on a wall above a bench which is outside the House of Good Fortune. He is reaching for a bone which appears to be hanging from a stick on the ledge of a window.
In the film, Mulan attaches the stick and bone to Little Brother’s back so that he chases the bone, dragging chicken feed behind him. He is a tan dog with a large brown spot on his back, brown ears, and a brown tail.
Mushu and Cri-Kee – China Pavilion
Located in the same pavilion are Mulan’s sidekicks, Mushu and Cri-Kee. The pair are situated on a wall next to The Painted Panda. The wall appears as though Mushu has broken through it.
In this close-up image, Mushu is pointing at Cri-Kee as if to place the blame on his small pal.
Pascal (x3) – Germany Pavilion
Pascal is hiding in three locations around the Germany Pavilion. The first location is on the side of a drainage pipe just outside of Karamell-Küche. He looks to be using his long tongue to catch a piece of caramel corn, a staple snack of the pavilion.
Pascal is a chameleon, so it is only natural that we find him in varying styles and colors throughout the pavilion.
We found him next perched on a brick near the pavilion’s restrooms where he is using his tail to paint a yellow sun on the wall.
Pascal is Rapunzel’s best friend in the “Tangled” Franchise, so it is fitting that he is painting a sun. The sun is a symbol of Rapunzel’s kingdom, Corona, and appears on lanterns and flags. While this sun is not identical to its representation in the franchise, it is very similar in color and shape.
We spotted the last Pascal using his color-shifting abilities. He is hiding in the painted sign for Volkskunst Clocks and Crafts.
Instead of his usual green color, he blends in with the browns of the letters in the store name.
Luca, Alberto, and Machiavelli – Italy Pavilion
We found Luca and Alberto playing above the water fountains at the Italy Pavilion. Alberto seems to be kicking water at Luca.
Machiavelli, the Marcovaldo’s family cat, is pictured next to a small purple crab below the pair.
Machiavelli is a white and brown cat who is giving Luca and Alberto a suspicious look.
Meeko and Flit – The American Adventure
Meeko and Flit were a new addition at last year’s festival and have returned to The American Adventure. They are located on a white column just outside of the Art of Disney store.
Meeko and Flit are Pocahontas’ animal companions and are a frisky pair. In the film, the two get into numerous risky situations. It appears not much has changed as Meeko looks to be hanging onto the pillar while trying to grab a cookie from Flit flying above him.
Gelatoni and Duffy – Japan Pavilion
Gelatoni and Duffy can be found just outside of the Mitsukoshi store at the Japan pavilion. The pair are situated high up on a wall above a wooden beam.
Gelatoni seems to be showing Duffy how to paint. He is a cat artist who wears a beret. Duffy is presented in his sailor bear attire. Paint cans are strewn about as the two paint a Mickey made of pawprints.
Chef – Japan Pavilion
Last year, Chef was located near the back of the pavilion. However, this year, he has a more prominent location just outside the entrance to Teppan Edo and Shiki-Sai which are located upstairs above the Mitsukoshi store.
Chef is a character in Pixar’s “Monster’s Inc.”
Abu – Morocco Pavilion
Aladdin’s companion, Abu, is located next to a green door in the pavilion. He appears to be attempting theft of a pot hanging from the wall.
He also carries a sack of goodies including Genie’s lamp.
Remy and Emile – France Pavilion
Remy and Emile can be found on a wall leading into the “Ratatouille” section of the France Pavilion. Remy is climbing a drainage pipe while Emile is eating a snack.
The two are in a slightly different location than last year when Remy was running across the ledge and not up the pipe. However, Emile did carry on the tradition of snacking from last year’s art.
Uncle Waldo, Abigail, and Amelia – France Pavilion
Uncle Waldo and his nieces’s Abigail and Amelia are shown in this picture from last year’s festival. The trio were a new addition in 2024. Abigail and Amelia save the day by rescuing Thomas O’Malley from a river in “The Aristocats.”
After the rescue, the twins escort O’Malley, Duchess, and the kittens back to Paris. In Paris, they run into Uncle Waldo in a drunken state. It appears that he has not sobered up as he is depicted slumped over with his eyes half-closed.
Another new friend also joined the trio this year. The small red squirrel was found alongside Merlin and Arthur in the back gardens of the U.K. Pavilion at last year’s festival but seems to now be pining over Abigail on a wall near the water of the France Pavilion.
Peter Pan’s Shadow – United Kingdom Pavilion
Peter Pan’s shadow is once again located atop The Toy Soldier gift shop peering in a bay window below a clock.
The shadow is a key plot point in “Peter Pan” as it stays behind in the darling nursery, leading Peter to come looking for it. This chalk rendering is reminiscent of the moment in the film when Pan comes back for his shadow – entering into the Darling nursery by window.
Merlin and Arthur – United Kingdom Pavilion
The squirrels from “The Sword in the Stone” are located in the back gardens of the pavilion. In the film, Merlin transforms himself and Arthur into squirrels to teach the squire about gravity.
Merlin is the blue squirrel and is in a lower position on the column than last year. Arthur and a female squirrel are located in the same location. She falls in love with Arthur while in his animal form.
“The Great Mouse Detective” Characters – United Kingdom Pavilion
Last year, these characters from “The Great Mouse Detective” were new to the pavilion and return this year in a new location near the restrooms. The scene depicts the film’s climactic battle above London.
“The Great Mouse Detective” is based on the “Basil of Baker Street” book series by Eve Titus. Basil and Dawson are the mice counterparts of the famous Sherlock Holmes and Dr. Watson from Arthur Conan Doyle’s books and short stories. In the film and books, Basil and Dawson live in the walls of 221B Baker Street, the residence of Holmes and Watson.
Koda – Canada Pavilion
Koda from the film “Brother Bear” can be found in the Canada Pavilion catching a fish by the river. He’s on a column of the bridge near the entrance to Le Cellier.
Koda is a small brown bear who befriends Kenai during the events of the film. Here he is shown adorably excited by his catch of a pink and green fish.
